My wife and I are from Phoenix, home of the best authentic Mexican food in the country, and we just moved here to Everett. I just want to say that these are the best birria tacos since we’ve been here! The tacos were real crunchy, with the right amount of onions, cilantro, and the cheese was so thick and melted, when I took my first bite, the cheese stretched across the table. The consome was very flavorful as well. If you don’t know what is consome, it’s the broth of the shredded beef that was cooked in, and it has all kinds of Mexican seasonings that you dip the tacos in. The rice and beans were also fantastic! 10/10 5 A 100%

El Nopal was written up for their birria in the Times, and they weren't wrong, it is very good. I had the combo plate with birria tacos and my partner had the birria ramen. Both were just what we needed after a long day travel. The broth with my tacos was spot on, the tacos had a few hot peppers to give them a little fire, and just enough cheese to hold them together and provide some umptuiosness with the tender roast beef.

I always say: There are good tacos and there are bad tacos. The tacos at El Nopal Mexican food are AMAZING! Their "lengua" (tongue) tacos are fantastic, while the Al Pastor tacos are out of these world! Amazing flavor!! A smoky, sweet cinnamon taste at the end that makes these tacos some of the best I've had. EXTREMELY RECOMMENDED!

For a taco shop this is a great place for birria! The Birria taco with cheese, is fried to perfection, crispy and not too greasy with a good balance of meat and cheese! The tortillas are fresh and done well. The price is more than other taquerias. The al pastor taco has decent flavor and a good proportion of pineapple to meat. I have had better texture, it is hard to say if it was just how they make it or if it was this batch. The lengua had a good portion of the top membrane. It was not as tender and juicy as Lengua is typically.

This is one of the best authentic Mexican restaurants in the area. It's a must visit. The patron is very friendly and will accommodate your requests. If you're going to eat spicy, let him know and he'll give you their spicy sauce. Even the imitation soy meat is excellent in taste The birria is a must try
